Ajrakh

Ajrakh is a traditional style of block printing that has its roots in the Indian subcontinent, particularly in the regions of Gujarat and Rajasthan. 

The Ajrakh printing process involves multiple steps, including washing and treating the fabric with a mixture of camel dung and castor oil to make it absorbent. The fabric is then stamped with hand-carved wooden blocks using natural dyes, primarily indigo for blue and madder for red. The process may include several rounds of block printing and dyeing, with some designs requiring precision and expertise to align perfectly.
